Mmmmmm.....The Simpson's Movie. We went and saw this movie opening night Friday night amongst all the teenagers who felt the need to repeat every funny line out loud so they could express the fact that they got the subtle humor that lies underneath all Simpson's jokes. The movie itself was actually very funny. Some of the funniest parts were from the previews...but I still laughed at them anyway. I never understood why it took them so long to come out with a Simpson's Movie...I stopped watching the new episodes a while back...but never miss an opportunity to watch some of the classics that they replay over and over again. My favorites have to be back when Conan O'Brien was writing for them...his humor is so different and out there that you can literally tell a Conan episode from the rest. Back to the movie...this movie keeps you entertained throughout...there isn't a moment that your not sitting around waiting for the plot to emerge. It's literally like watching a 30 minute episode...but for an hour and 1/2. Don't forget to stay till the end of the credits for a special bonus...

Schillerscale = 7/10.

The Rocket Summer's new cd "Do You Feel" was released today. I was counting the minutes until 5 (when I got off work) today so I could go up to Virgin and buy my copy. I ended up buying two...just in case. I actually never buy CD's...the last CD that I bought was their last album which came out last year. If you've never heard of The Rocket Summer (TRS)... go to their myspace or website and check them out. The lead singer is Bryce Avary...and he's basically a one man band. He writes, sings, and performs all the instruments on each album. The enitre album has been streaming on his myspace profile for the past few days...I wanted to listen so bad, but I resisted...there's just something so different about waiting until you unwrap the plastic from a cd and peel off the annoying tape, pop the cd into your player and jam. What makes any band for me is any form of harmonizing...is that a word? Bryce does an amazing job bringing the vocals and the kick ace piano chords together to form an album that makes you happy everytime you listen to it. You could be having a pretty crappy day...just pop the cd in...and your toe will start tapping and it just puts you in a good mood. (for me anyways) What's really impressive is just this paragraph inside the cd sleeve "Vocals, drums, piano, guitars, bass, percussion, moog synthesizers, organ, wurlitzer and harmonica performed by Bryce Avary"

So this is the new site... I know what your thinking. Why did you call your site it'sadam.com? For one very simple reason...basically for my own amusement... when someone asks me what the web address is for it...I can simply answer... "it's adam dot com"....I created the name for the pure curiosity to see if anyone will actually think that I was lucky enough to get the domain name "adam.com"

I will use this area mainly for reviewing movies, since I see one or two a week. But this will also be a place to share funny movies, pictures, or websites. Let me know what you think of the design, it will probably change frequently...i get tired of things easily.
